08.09.2010: In memory of Juan Antonio Samaranch

Juan Antonio Samaranch visited Intervin and signed the solidarity bottle

A month before his death, the President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Juan Antonio Samaranch, visited Alimentaria 2010. Specifically he went round the Wines & Spirits Show – Intervin- visiting various stands such as Cavas Torelló, among others. As a kindness with the organisers he signed up a white bottle with the Olympics symbol, collaborating this way with a project from the Spanish NGO Nutrición Sin Fronteras. This bottle is now in the Museo Briones of Dinastía Vivanco winery in La Rioja, in the northern Spain. Together with Samaranch, other well-known personalities from business and sports signed more bottles to collaborate with this NGO.
